WX SYSTEMS MEETS WITH AVIPLAN AB MAJORITY SHAREHOLDERS 24 August 2004.
WX Systems Chief Executive Officer Patrick Markus Aisher today met with two of the larger shareholders in AviPlan AB of Sweden, who together control in excess of 63% of the shares in the Swedish airport software development company. Aisher explained that he intended to convince the major shareholders of the Swedish company of the merits of a tie-up with his Swiss-based company. "WX Systems developed its WASP™ (WX Airport Surfaces Planner) application for the Airport market in 1995, and the tool is now used in more than 50 countries worldwide", said Aisher, "and we believe that we can expand our Airport customer base by providing further tools, such as those originally developed by AviPlan".
