The new geodetic data management tool from WX Systems has generated significant interest from civil aviation organizations internationally, the company reported. Called the WX Geo™, the tool represents the next generation of higher standard software for the comprehensive management of geodetic data via a system enabling users to correctly manipulate spatial coordinates between different geodetic datums and coordinate reference frames.

WXGeo™ is a comprehensive Geodetic Management tool enabling users to correctly manipulate spatial coordinates between different geodetic datums and coordinate reference frames. The application has been specifically written to interact with the geodetic database provided by the Oil and Gas Producers (OGP) geodetic committee. This database is the most complete collection of geodetic parameters for all global areas.

WXGeo™ will enable all aspects of coordinate definition and coordinate transformations to be performed using the most appropriate parameters for your geographical region. The tool is easy to use and maintain and comes complete with a simple search engine to find the geodetic parameters for your area.

The application includes numerous different datum transformation techniques (including Molodensky, NADCON, Bursa Wolfe etc.) over forty map projection techniques and all common ellipsoids, datum transformation parameters and survey units.

The WXGeo™ software incorporates practical applications at each stage of the data manipulation, thereby giving the user complete control throughout the entire design process. Furthermore, data can be exported seamlessly to the WX1™ Series of Software.
