WX BOARD AGREES TO AVIPLAN AB ACQUISITION 14 October 2004.
The Board of Directors of WX Systems confirmed today that it had agreed to acquire the Intellectual Property and Distribution Rights to all the airport-related software designed and developed by AviPlan AB of Sweden. AviPlan AB Founder Dr. Ferenc Weiczer stated: "We are delighted that WX Systems has agreed to acquire the international rights to all our software. Their professionalism, record, and market size, that WX Systems has will allow us to now continue to develop new and innovative airport products for them to market and maintain." Dr. Weiczer, who has been working informally with WX Systems for nearly 5 years, will join the Company as Technical Author and Airport Software Developer. AviPlan AB co-founder, Eduard Lukschandl, will also continue to work with WX Systems, and hopes to launch the new, integrated, web-based system for incident reporting at airports under the WX ReportHandler™ name.
