Jet Aviation Business Jets AG based in Zurich/Switzerland awarded WX with a contract to develop specifically tailored procedures for their Cessna Citation Excel fleet into Lugano/Switzerland. Lugano is one of them most complex airports in the world for IFR procedures. Therefore the Swiss Government introduced a few restrictions on the commercial IFR operations into this airport located in the mountainous southern part of Switzerland. These restrections were based on the step-by-step implementation of the JAR criteria. Some of those restrictions were relatively penalizing for established operators such as Jet Aviation. WX Systems was recommended to Jet Aviation by the Swiss Government.
