EUROPEAN USER GROUP MEETING 2005 We are happy to inform you that the next European User Group Meeting will take place on 22nd of September in Lisbon, Portugal. Further to the success of the last User Group Meeting in Hong Kong, we sincerely hope that you will able to join us in Lisbon and ensure the continuing development of this important forum. We intend to send out a copy of the Hong Kong User Group Meeting Minutes, as well as the latest SoloBug Reports on 5th September 2005, so all users will have the opportunity to see what difficulties/problems their colleagues have encountered in the last half-year. Also, we hope to demonstrate new functionality within the software, and discuss the implications of the ever-changing Microsoft™ Windows® and Autodesk AutoCAD™ environment. We intend to also use the User Group Meeting to inform our clients of the new Training Schedule for 2006, and provide details of the 20 training courses we are now providing annually. Starting from next year many courses and examinations will be available online, as well as notes and manuals from existing courses, and we would like your thoughts on this somewhat radical approach to training! Furthermore, we would like to introduce our clients to some of our new products. The WXGeo™ Software Tool for advanced geodetic and cartographic functions will be shown to all participants, as will the new WXTerps™ tool for designing instrument flight procedures under FAA criteria. We recommend arriving in Lisbon the evening before the User Group meeting commences, and hope that you will then be ready to participate in the Meeting the following day, as well as the Workshop and Question and Answer Session on Friday. Patrick, Lars, Nils, Ed, Ray, and I will all be attending and we are confident that it will be a useful and productive meeting. The User Group Meeting will commence on Thursday 22nd September 2005 at Lisbon International Airport, with the Schedule attached. WX Systems has arranged preferential rates with a leading hotel in Lisbon and can provide an all inclusive package price for accommodation for the nights on the 21st and 22nd of September 2005, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, User Group Meeting Registration fee and Workshop attendance. The Tivoli Tejo hotel in Lisbon, offers its guests state of the art services and facilities, both for leisure and business purposes. The Tivoli Tejo hotel, overlooking the Tagus river, is located in the Parque das Nações, formerly Expo 98, and now one of Lisbon's major new residential and business neighbourhoods. The Parque das Nações already houses the new Lisbon International Exhibition Centre, the Pavilhão Atlântico (multipurpose events arena) and the impressive Vasco da Gama shopping centre. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the Lisbon airport, and is literally a two minutes walk from the magnificent Estação do Oriente, - where trains, the subway, buses and taxis converge in a full public transport interface. As an added incentive to attend the User Group Meeting, WX Systems will grant a 15% discount on all training course costs incurred by your organization for all courses up to January 31st 2006.
