WX-SYSTEMS APPOINTS

TECHNICAL EXECUTIVE AS DIRECTOR

Wx Systems, the Swiss-based supplier of award-winning software tools for the design and evaluation of ICAO-based approach and departure procedures, has promoted Mr. Beat Zimmermann to the post of Training Director.

Zimmermann has worked extensively in the field of air navigation procedures design over the last twelve years, having been previously employed by Swisscontrol (now known as Skyguide), the Swiss air navigation service provider, as an air traffic controller and subsequently in the Operations Department as a procedure design specialist. Zimmermann joined Wx Systems in December 2000 as a Technical Executive, and soon took over responsibility for training instruction. In this capacity, Zimmermann has trained more than thirty air navigation experts on numerous courses in the field of air navigation procedure design, with specific focus on PANS OPS, and Complex Terrain.To date, Wx Systems have trained over 120 PANS OPS experts from all over the world.

Patrick Aisher, Chief Executive Officer of Wx Systems, stated: “Beat Zimmermann has been working with the Wx System software for many years, first as a user at Swisscontrol, and then as a consultant instructor to our company, and since 2000 as a valued part of our team.” He continued to say: “Beat’s experience has proved invaluable to Wx Systems, and in recognition of this the Board has appointed him as a Director with responsibility for Training, which accounts for more than 15% of our annual revenues. We all welcome him on the management team”.

With the recent sale the WX Systems client list now brings the total to 64 different locations worldwide.
