WX Systems has been invited to by the
International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to attend a workshop on the
development of instrument approach procedures for area navigation (RNAV) which
will be held at the ICAO Asia/Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok, Thailand from
27 to 31 October 2003.
The workshop will address the design criteria
for RNAV applications, discuss the issues associated with implementing RNAV
procedures and provide a hands-on exercise for participants using a test case. Moreover,
a mini-exhibition is also planned to be set-up in conjunction to the workshop,
in order to showcase latest technologies and software products in the PANS-OPS
field. The exhibition will be open to
the participants during the coffee/lunch breaks and if required just before and
after the workshop on all the five days.
The workshop is intended for experienced
procedure designers and it is anticipated that approximately 40 to 50
participants will take part in the workshop.
ICAO stated that WX Systems “area of expertise
in the development of PANS-OPS software” was instrumental in the invitation to
attend the workshop and to take part in the exhibition.
