WX SYSTEMS TO DEVELOP ADVANCED GEODETIC SOLUTIONS

WX Systems announced that in line with the advanced geodetic calculator available from Blue Marble that is now incorporated within the WPD Classic Series, and the WX1™ Series of Software, the company is studying further advanced geodetic solutions that it will be able to offer to clients later this year.

In line with academic and professional geodetic experts in Switzerland and the United Kingdom, WX Systems is concerned that not enough precise information is known concerning the importance of the usage of co-ordinate systems and map projections in the field of procedures design. Technical Director Nils Lundstrom, says: “We are concerned that many of our users and clients worldwide are not utilising the geodetic tools within the WX1™ Series to their maximum potential. Therefore we are undertaking a programme whereby we hope to be able to offer detailed advanced training in this field in the latter part of 2003 and early 2004.”
