“WX SYSTEMS LAUNCHES INTEGRATED “CLASSIC” SERIES”
Wx Systems, the Swiss-based air navigation software specialists, today announced the launch date of the WPD Classic Series of Software, the latest release that builds on the phenomenal success of the original Wavionix Procedures Designer (WPD) Series, that has been used operationally since 1994. “The WPD Classic Series will be available from June 13th 2003, and has been designed to encompass all the modules of the WPD Series, with some new modules that will be later incorporated into the forthcoming WX1 Series of Software”, says Technical Director Nils Lundstrom.
The WPD Classic will be made available to all existing customers who are on an active Maintenance Contract free of charge. Wx Systems has supplied software and training to air navigation service providers in more than 75 countries worldwide, and the various tools have been thoroughly tested and awarded numerous prizes and accolades for increasing flight safety.
New customers will be able to also acquire the WPD Classic Series under special launch conditions during the months of June and July 2003. Wx Systems will provide the WPD Classic Series for a full retail price of US$ 180,000 per user license, which includes the first year’s maintenance, training at the Wx Systems Centre in Switzerland, and a fully loaded Fujitsu Siemens PC laptop with an AutoCAD system.
“This represents an excellent opportunity to acquire the most advanced system on the market, with all the required operating systems, CAD package, and PC station from Fujitsu Siemens, all for one price, with the guarantee of no additional expenditure”, says Wx Systems Chief Executive Officer Patrick Aisher. Furthermore, under the annual maintenance agreement, new customers will benefit from an automatic and free upgrade to the forthcoming WX1 Series of Software when this is released in the next few months.
